Captain Amazon

We are a small start-up non-profit organisation stationed in Sweden. Captain Amazon was founded in early 2020, with the intent to spread awareness of environmental issues and conduct new, original research on climate change, biodiversity, agriculture, forestry and plastic pollution. We have a primary focus on rainforests and agricultural practices linked to deforestation, as well as climate change and climate policy. However, we give a lot of attention to other subjects too.

Apart from providing general information on agriculture, air pollution, biodiversity, climate change, forests, oceans, waste and protest tactics, we also write about the latest environmental news. These news stories relate to the subjects mentioned above.

Our primary mission is to spread awareness of environmental and biodiversity issues as well as climate change related events. We aim to keep people informed about new developments across the world that affect or relate to the environment and climate. Additionally, Captain Amazon publishes original research, with the intent to contribute to current understandings of environmental problems and to find adequate solutions to these. We also aim to help give individuals thorough information and tips on how to live more sustainably and environmentally-friendly.
